Described as possessingconsiderable theatrical skills” (Middle C Reviews) Andrew Glover’s roles in the UK have included Giovanni d’Aire L’assedio di Calais, Monsieur Triquet Eugene Onegin, Gherardo Gianni Schicchi, and Tinca Il tabarro (English Touring Opera), Remendado Carmen, Beppe Pagliacci, Don Curzio and Don Basilio Le nozze di Figaro (Opera Holland Park), Bergerac Vert Vert (Offenbach) (Garsington Opera) and Lysander A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Opera North). 

A regular guest performer in his native New Zealand, Andrew Glover’s recent engagements there have included Vašek The Bartered Bride, Beppe Pagliacci, Tichon Katya Kabanova, Gastone La traviata and Beadle Bamford Sweeney Todd, (New Zealand Opera), Turk and Patriot Brass Poppies (New Zealand Festival), and Rodrigo in a concert performance of Otello with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra.

Andrew Glover’s repertoire includes Dancairo Carmen, Bardolfo Falstaff, Ein junger Diener Elektra, The Cock and The Fox Renard (Stravinsky), Bastien Bastien und Bastienne (Mozart), Grimoaldo Rodelinda, Ramiro La Cenerentola, Monostatos Die Zauberflöte, Ismaele and Abdallo Nabucco, Ferrando Cosi fan tutte, Tanzmeister and Scaramuccio Ariadne auf Naxos, and Frantz, Cochenille, Andrès and Pitichinaccio Les Contes d’Hoffmann. 

Current engagements include Tinca Il tabarro and Gherardo Gianni Schicchi for English Touring Opera.

Andrew Glover has sung concerts with the Tokyo New Philharmonic Orchestra, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Auckland Chamber Orchestra, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and the Perth Symphony Orchestra.  His concert repertoire includes Handel Messiah, Haydn Creation, Mendelssohn Elijah, Mozart Requiem and Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle.  He performed music by Sondheim in concert for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.         

A British passport holder, Andrew Glover, was born in New Zealand and studied drama, dance and singing at the Unitec School of Performing Arts before graduating with honours from the Australian Opera Studio.

His acting credits include Lysander, Demetrius, Oberon and Starveling A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Banquo Macbeth, Orlando As you Like It Teiresias in Sophocles Oedipus Rex and various roles in Under Milkwood. He has also appeared in music theatre.
